Job summary

Easterseals-Goodwill Northern Rocky Mountain Inc. in Murray, UT, seeks an experienced Retail Store Manager to oversee all aspects of our thrift store, including staffing, donation processing, pricing, and sales floor presentation.

You will lead the management team, recruit and train staff, ensure budget goals are met, maintain safety, and provide regular reporting to stakeholders. Prior retail leadership and a track record of operational excellence are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory/management experience, preferably in retail.
  • Budget management and tracking experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, organizational, and decision‑making skills.
  • Experience supervising and hiring staff.

Job description

Manage all aspects of retail thrift store including staffing, donation processing and pricing, sales floor presentation, and administrative oversight.

Responsibilities

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience supervising and hiring staff.
  • Retail management preferred.
  • Computer skills, including email, intranet, metrics applications for data entry, Microsoft Word, webinar/conference call, etc.
  • Budget management and tracking.
  • Leadership, communication, organizational, and decision‑making skills.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory/management experience, preferably in retail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
  • Able to read, write, and speak the English language to communicate with staff and customers.
  • Able to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility.
  • Able to lift and carry 20‑100 pounds with team lifting or mechanical assistance; able to stand, stoop, bend, or carry for extended periods; tolerant to extreme changes in temperature and humidity.
  • May be required to work more than 40 hours per week.
  • Require work evenings, weekends, and extended shifts to manage Goodwill store needs.
  • Have reliable transportation, a good driving record, valid driver’s license, and proof of personal vehicle insurance.
  • Pass DMV check.
  • All positions require completion of a background check. Acknowledging or having criminal convictions does not constitute an automatic bar to employment.
