Job summary

Finch Turf Inc. is seeking an Equipment Mechanic to diagnose and repair John Deere golf and sports turf equipment on-site in Avon, MA. You will perform diagnostics, routine maintenance, overhauls, and tests of major components, and document work orders with billable time.

You’ll follow manuals, inspect parts, and maintain a clean, safe work area. Basic to intermediate mechanical experience is required, golf-industry familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic to intermediate mechanical experience
• Golf industry experience preferred
• Familiarity with John Deere equipment
• Ability to read manuals and schematics

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair John Deere equipment
• Perform scheduled maintenance
• Overhaul and test major components
• Document diagnostics and repairs in work orders
• Account for billable time and assigned work orders
• Consult equipment manuals, schematics and drawings
• Diagnose and identify malfunctions
• Inspect, repair and replace defective parts
• Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment
• Maintain safety and clean work area
• Stay current with John Deere and competitive products
• Other duties as assigned by Service Manager
