Job summary

Finch Turf in Avon, MA is seeking a skilled equipment technician to diagnose and repair John Deere gear and allied equipment. You will overhaul major components, document work orders, and follow manuals and drawings to ensure accurate repairs.

Applicants should have a mechanical background, be able to lift 75 lbs, and work in a shop environment. Prior tractor experience is preferred; a drug test and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Prior mechanical experience required.
• Tractor experience preferred.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment (as well as allied equipment)
• Overhaul and test major components
• Complete documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders
• Consult equipment operating manuals, schematics and drawings
• Diagnose and identify malfunctions
• Inspect, repair, and replace defective or worn parts
• Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment
• Other duties as assigned by Service Manager
