Job summary

Twice's Golf Shop Supervisor promotes the game of golf at the club and oversees daily shop operations, including outside services, inventory control, and merchandising to create a welcoming, well‑organized shop for members and guests.

Reporting to the Director of Retail, this role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years of golf operations experience, strong customer service, the ability to handle confidential information, weekend/holiday work, and the physical capacity to lift up

Responsibilities

• Respond to member and guest inquiries and assist with tee time bookings in person and over the phone.
• Manage the tee sheet, including walk-ups and pairings, and ensure accurate guest fee collection.
• Maintain inventory control by checking in merchandise, organizing and restocking displays and storage areas, and following up on special orders.
• Process merchandise returns and issue appropriate customer credits.
• Oversee inside golf operations and staff, ensuring adherence to daily procedures and policies.
• Manage inside and outside golf operations to support optimal service delivery.
• Promote the game of golf and the club's offerings while delivering a high level of service.
• Perform closing duties and train staff to meet operational standards.
• Lead golf operations staff in delivering efficient, friendly service, processing charges, checking in golfers, and following cash handling procedures.
• Assist the Head Golf Professional, General Manager, and Tournament Coordinators as needed.
• Support club operations by completing additional tasks assigned by management and following company, club, and department policies.

Overview

The Golf Shop Supervisor is responsible for promoting the game of golf at the club and ensuring the smooth operation of the golf shop on a daily basis. This position oversees golf shop operations, including outside services, inventory control, and merchandising efforts. The role works closely with the Golf Operations team to curate a diverse, high-quality merchandise selection for members and guests and ensures the golf shop is well-organized, visually appealing, and fully functional to enhance the overall member and guest experience. This position is designated for clubs that do not have a Golf Shop Manager but may exist alongside a Head Golf Professional.

Reporting Structure

• Reports directly to the Director of Retail.

Experience Required

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of golf operations experience.
• Basic knowledge of customer service, golf rules, and equipment.
• Ability to handle sensitive company and employee information with confidentiality.
• Demonstrates ethical behavior and adherence to company policies.
• Maintains professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Must be able to work weekends and/or holidays as required.
• Must be able to perform physical duties including sitting, standing, walking, climbing ladders, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, and lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs.
• Frequent exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity.
