City of Golden seeks a Golf Shop Retail Coordinator to coordinate the selection, purchase, and merchandising of golf shop merchandise while maintaining inventory control and excellent guest service.
Under the Head Golf Professional, you will support an industry-leading retail operation, assist with annual buying plans, and interact with golf staff and vendors. Some early morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are possible.

Under the direct supervision of the Head Golf Professional, the Golf Shop Retail Coordinator coordinates the selection, purchase, merchandising, inventory control and overall management of the golf shop merchandise operation. This position supports an industry-leading public golf retail operation and works closely with golf professionals by providing support, promoting the Club’s vision, and promoting the game of golf with an emphasis on providing exceptional customer service. This position helps support revenue goals, inventory accuracy, visual presentation standards, and the overall guest retail experience. May be required to work early morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is preferred. Minimum two years of experience in golf, resort, hospitality, hotel, retail merchandising, or a related service industry required. Must be computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office and Excel. Ability to learn and utilize point-of-sale and retail management systems. Must possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, & decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply and calculate fractions and percentages to areas pertaining to the successful operation of the business.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Possess fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, retail operations and facility operations. Exhibits strong organizational, planning, merchandising, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple priorities, interpret sales information, and support sound merchandise and inventory decisions.
Personal computer, cash drawer, phones, adding machine, copy machines, golf merchandise, and point-of-sale (POS) system.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, stoop, reach and lift, exhibit manual dexterity and the ability to handle objects. Must be able to lift 100 pounds assisted and 50 pounds unassisted. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions including exposure to sun, grasses, and various changing weather conditions. Primarily office environment with moderate noise levels.
