Job summary

Sullivan Golf Course is seeking an experienced Golf Shop Assistant Manager to partner with the Golf Professional to oversee the daily operations of the Golf Shop and to lead the Outside Services team. This leadership role is critical for guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and the overall member experience.

The successful candidate will supervise staff, manage the tee sheet and check-in, handle daily sales and reporting, and assist with Junior Golf programs, community clinics,

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in golf operations, retail, or supervisory roles.
• Proven ability to lead and train a team, especially outside services staff.
• Strong commitment to customer service and hospitality.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with POS systems, cash handling and daily sales reporting.
• Passion for golf and understanding of golf course operations.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Staff Management & Supervision: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise Golf Shop and Outside Services staff.
• Customer Service & Operations: Oversee daily Golf Shop activities, tee sheet, check-in and guest concerns.
• Financial Integrity: Manage daily POS transactions, cash deposits, and sales reports; assist with budgets and cost control.
• Player Development Support: Assist PGA staff with Junior Golf programs and clinics.
• Tournaments & Leagues: Support setup, execution and scoring of club events and weekly leagues.
• Facility Readiness: Ensure golf carts and practice areas are clean and well-maintained.
