Job summary

TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois invites a proactive operations teammate to assist with tournament setup, facilities, and the daily logistics of running a major golf event. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and Tournament Services Manager to ensure smooth execution and seamless coordination with vendors and volunteers.

The role requires involvement in Pro-Am/Am-Am activities, inventory management, and after-hours coverage.

Qualifications

• Educational background in marketing, business or sports marketing.
• Experience with social media applications and language.
• Exposure to golf tournament or sports event communications preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Professional image and ability to work as a team.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Operations Manager and/or Tournament Services Manager in the set up and production of the tournament, including building, tear down and maintenance of facilities.
• Coordinate with vendors and volunteer committees on tournament and daily operations.
• Coordinate golf carts, communication equipment, beverage distribution for players and volunteers and supplies.
• Assist with Pro-Am and Am-Am competitions before, during and after the tournament.
• Order, receive, inventory and stock items for successful operation.
• Carry out special projects or other duties as assigned.

TPC Deere Run is a par-71, 7,256-yard championship golf course open to the public located in the Quad Cities region of Silvis, Illinois and just over a two-hour drive from Chicago. QUALIFICATIONS

• Educational experience in marketing, business, sports marketing
• Experience in social media applications and language
• Prior exposure and experience to Golf Tournament or Sports Event Communications preferred
• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient with MS Office Software applications
• A professional image and ability to work as a team is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Work with the Operations Manager and/or Tournament Services Manager in the set up and production of the tournament, which includes the building, tear down and maintenance of facilities for the event.
• Work directly with various vendors and volunteer committees on coordination of the tournament and daily operations.
• Responsible for coordinating golf carts, communication equipment, soft drink and water distribution for players and volunteers, and miscellaneous volunteer supplies.
• Assists with Pro-Am competitions and/or Am-Am competitions before, during, and after the tournament.
• Order, receive, inventory and stock items relative to the successful operation of the tournament.
• Special Projects or other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT This job operates in a tournament office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a variety of outdoor weather conditions. Position is very active and requires lifting, pulling or pushing up to or over 45 pounds, moving and/or lift items with awkward weights. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. An essential function of the job is to be able to comply with all applicable federal, state and local safety and health regulations that would apply to this job. WORK SCHEDULE EXPECTATIONS

• This position requires after hours, on-call shifts and the ability to work during nonstandard hours when the need arises.
• This position requires early morning, late night, weekend and holiday shifts.

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
