Job summary

Reynolds Lake Oconee is seeking a friendly golf shop associate to take tee times, assist customers with merchandise, help golfers at check-in, and participate in daily shop operations.

The role requires excellent communication and public relations skills, basic computer skills, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs; golf knowledge is a plus. Training is provided.

Compensation is $12/hour plus commission, with paid time off offered and employee discounts on store items.

• Maintains play logs and assists with stock levels.
• Supports golf professionals with daily tasks and retail operations.
• Operates the cash register and processes payments.
• Assists customers in selecting merchandise and wraps gifts.
• Prepares coffee station daily and maintains shop communication.
• Keeps the shop clean and organized and supports special events.

Job description

This position pays $12/hr plus commission.

Responsibilities:

• Takes tee times as needed under club rules.
• Maintains up-to-date miscellaneous information regarding play, etc. to provide to golfers as they check in.
• Assists with displaying golf shop merchandise.
• Answers golf shop telephone(s).
• Responsible for maintaining play logs.
• Assist golf professionals with par stock levels.
• Checks golfers in and collects fees.
• Uses cash register.
• Assists customers in selection of merchandise.
• Wraps gifts.
• Keeps up with special events (golf tournaments, etc.).
• Assists golf professionals and Director of Retail with weekly/monthly display changes.
• Cleans and straightens golf shop as needed.
• Assists Golf Professionals in every day duties.
• Prepares and maintains coffee station daily.
• Maintains radio or other contact with the shop for up-to-date information on a regular basis.

Qualifications:
