Job description

Overview

Exhibits a positive attitude daily while assisting guests in the Golf Shop. Performs tasks assigned by the Director of Golf, 1st Assistant Golf Professional, and Retail Lead.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Answer telephone with an energetic and helpful tone.
2. Assist guests with booking tee times using the EZ Links tee sheet.
3. Ring in product sales using Jonas software.
4. Process guest transactions via cash or credit card.
5. Ensure the cash register is balanced throughout the day.
6. Open and close the Golf Shop.
7. Upsell merchandise and the VIP card program.
8. Assist in tournament preparation.
9. Answer product-related questions.
10. Help guests find the proper size/brand they are looking for.
11. Maintain daily upkeep of the Golf Shop, including restocking items, dusting/cleaning displays, folding clothes, and vacuuming floors.
12. Maintain consistent inventory levels of merchandise essentials such as plastic and paper shopping bags, packing tissue, gift boxes, bows, and gift wrap during December.
13. Ensure sufficient inventory of basic apparel, including ladies and men's solids, outerwear, and headwear, maintaining at- or near-par levels.
14. Assist the Golf Shop Supervisor with shop displays, focusing on display quality, cleanliness, and updating based on seasonality.
15. Participate in monthly inventory counts and manage shrink reconciliation alongside the Golf Shop Supervisor.
16. Incorporate safe work practices in all job activities.
