The Promontory Club is looking to fulfill a vacancy for a Golf Shop Attendant – Full time/Seasonal
The Golf Shop Attendant will be responsible for the supervision of associates, interns, shop attendants, outside staff, and temporary associates at one of the Promontory Golf Operations. The Golf Shop Attendant will also be responsible for assisting with the management of the daily golf operation including managing and tracking play, assisting with merchandising, assisting with the execution of club events and tournaments, teaching and the servicing of the membership to ensure an exceptional golf experience. Reports to the Head Golf Professional.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND CERTIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Any related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience; must have good written and verbal communication skills; must have excellent customer service skills; previous experience in golf instruction and club fitting; basic computer skills and competency in the following, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
WORKING KNOWLEDGE TO BE ACQUIRED ON JOB:Abide by Promontory policies and procedures and submit ideas for possible revision; work independently with little supervision; courteous and helpful with Promontory Club Members and employees; practice proper and timely communication among the entire golf department personnel and keep members satisfied and well informed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time; ability to spend time in an outdoor environment in the sun, rain and other conditions; ability to lift 30lbs regularly and the ability to lift up to 60lbs occasionally; must be willing to work various hours, holidays and weekends.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Wages range from $20/hr and will be commensurate with experience upon employment.
