Job summary

Classic Club in Palm Desert, CA, part of Troon, seeks a part-time Golf Shop Assistant for a seasonal role (up to 6 months). You will assist guests, process reservations, manage inventory, and handle payments with the POS system while delivering friendly service and supporting golf operations.

Your duties include check-in assistance, inventory display, cash reconciliation, and collaboration with staff to ensure a smooth guest experience. Prior golf knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a friendly and positive personality.
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be dependable and have a strong work ethic.
• Knowledge about the game of golf preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process customer reservations for guests of the golf course
• Provide customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check-in process
• Arrange and display golf shop inventory as necessary and directed
• Collect green and cart fees (and other revenue) from guests and processes in the POS system as trained
• Issue receipts for guest purchases
• Take messages for staff or guests
• Assist in packing and unpacking inventory and golf operations supplies
• Assist in reconciliation of cash and accounts receivable charges to daily register at the closing of the day
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Classic Club, located in Palm Desert, CA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Golf Shop Assistant! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role Type:

Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)

Compensation:

$17.40 - $20.00 per hour

Position Responsibilities:

Process customer reservations for guests of the golf course
