Job summary

Keswick Hall in Charlottesville, VA invites a friendly Golf Cart Attendant to welcome members and guests, assist their needs, and keep the Cart Barn and practice facilities in top shape.

You will provide bag service, maintain the fleet and facilities, and help with events, ensuring a smooth experience from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Fundamental knowledge of golf and golf facility operations.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Strong customer relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide golf bag service: retrieval, loading, cleaning, and storage.
• Maintain practice facility: setup, maintenance, restocking, and cleaning.
• Meet and greet golfers at the beginning and end of their round.
• Manage golf car fleet: staging, cleanliness, stocking, preventative maintenance, and rotation.
• Keep the golf cart barn clean and organized.
• Keep the staging area, breezeway, and service tunnel clean and orderly.

This is the setting for Keswick Hall, an impressive 80-room luxury boutique hotel nestled on 600 acres which recently re-opened in 2021 after renovations. Home to the prestigious Keswick Golf Club, Marigold Restaurant, by Jean-Georges, a new luxury spa and sports and aquatics center.

The Golf Cart Attendant’s responsibility is to welcome members and guests to the Club and provide assistance to their needs; maintain Cart Barn area and practice facility.

• 6. Keep the golf car staging area, breezeway, and service tunnel clean and orderly.
• 7. Keep informed of upcoming events at the club
• 8. Perform other duties assigned.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE

Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.

Strong customer relations skills.

A positive attitude.

Willing to work in a team atmosphere.
