ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:

Employees of Bluejack National ensure that the highest level of service is offered to the members of Bluejack National by providing personal, gracious, and professional service. Player Services Attendants will echo this club belief throughout all functions associated with their position. The position will be responsible for fulfilling the daily duties associated with successful golf operations, including set up and breakdown, cleaning and staging carts, meticulous preparation and care for practice grounds including “The Playgrounds” area, and assisting in preparation and execution of tournaments and other club events. Player Services Attendants will play a key role in the overall success of the Golf Operations at Bluejack National.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide excellent member services, professional advice, and assistance to all patrons.
  2. Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times.
  3. Be informed on, and promote all club activities and services.
  4. Resolve member complaints and be a Bluejack National ambassador at all times.
  5. Support the Development/Club Customs, Culture, and Rules.
  6. Assist in managing tournaments and outings.
  7. Set up and break down practice grounds including, but not limited to, driving range, “The Playgrounds”, short game areas, practice putting green, and golf performance center “The Place”.
  8. Pick range balls throughout the day and conduct clean picking at night.
  9. Coordinate with the Starter to send groups to the golf course.
  10. Assist with assigning caddies to groups.
  11. Clean players' clubs after each use and prior to leaving the range.
  12. Ensure amenity stations are clean and fully stocked at all times.
  13. Fill coolers with bottled water and ice stationed throughout the practice area.
  14. Rake bunker areas after each member use.
  15. Clear golf balls off putting greens and chipping greens in-between player sessions.
  16. Update yardages to target greens as necessary when the hitting stations move.
  17. Keep outdoor furniture clean and presentable.
  18. Remove trash and other debris from practice grounds as necessary.
  19. Carry a player’s bag to and from the cart when they arrive at the range.
  20. Pick up broken tees and divots from the tier after each member session.
  21. Complete general special projects and additional duties as requested by President, General Manager/COO, Director of Agronomy, Director of Golf & Head Golf Professional.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Experience:

  1. Prior experience in high-end golf/country club or hospitality industry is a plus.
  2. Strong communication and correspondence skills with the ability to maintain sound working relationships and communications with members, management, staff, ownership, prospective buyers, and vendors.
  3. Good organizational skills and the ability to work well independently with attention to quality and detail.
  4. Professional appearance and presentation.

Skills and Abilities:

  1. Enjoy working with members, guests, and children.
  2. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills.
  3. Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  4. Excellent human relations skills, with a talent for motivating staff and members.
  5. Good organizational skills with the ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  6. Ability to function under pressure, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions.
  7. High work ethic, with a sense of responsibility for the role filled within our team.
  8. Must be able to stay organized and work independently.

APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE AND HOURS:

45-50 hours or more, per week. Weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/Carrying:

This position requires an above-average amount of physical labor such as bending, stooping, walking, reaching, and standing. Should be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. This position requires this type of activity throughout the day.
