Job summary

The Lakehouse Resort is hiring for Outside Services to support golf operations at The Links and The Executive Course. You will stage carts, load bags, greet guests, and assist with maintenance and range duties while rotating between courses.

This is a non-exempt, part-time role requiring outdoor work, physical stamina and a courteous, professional demeanor. Benefits include medical and dental, vision and life insurance, 401(k), and staff discounts.

Responsibilities

Outside Services provides member and guest services pertaining to the golf course and driving range. You are there to assist members and guests by staging golf carts, loading golf bags as well as servicing any needs and requests on the course and driving range. Team members in this role will support operations at both The Links and The Executive Course, rotating between the two to ensure consistent guest experience across both courses.

The duties of Outside Services include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Bring carts from cart shelter to cart staging area. Ensure that carts are clean, operating properly and are properly equipped with towels, pencils, score cards, tees, sand/seed mix bottles, etc.


• Report any repair problems to your supervisor and mechanic.


• Provide excellent customer service, including greeting and interacting with members/guests, and providing information, directions and/or assistance as appropriate.


• Transport golf bags from the bag drop area or bag storage room and load onto assigned golf carts.


• Greet golfers returning from the course, unload golf clubs from carts and assist with transporting and loading into vehicles or returning bags to the storage area as appropriate.


• Return golf cars to the cart storage area. Remove towels, pencils, score cards, tees, trash, etc., from carts and save reusable items.


• Wash cart with pressure cleaner, park cart and connect charger cable.


• Perform practice range duties including cleaning and maintaining the tee area, repositioning bag stands or barriers, removing trash from receptacles, collecting empty baskets, operating the ball picker on the range, washing range balls, etc.


• Willingly perform other reasonable tasks and duties as assigned by Management.

• Able to work outdoors; may be exposed to a variety of weather conditions including rain, cold, direct sunlight, heat, and humidity.

Expected Hours of Work

• Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel, including holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.
