Job summary

The City of Lake Worth Beach is seeking an Assistant Golf Course Manager to support the Golf Course Manager in daily operations, events, and junior programs. The role emphasizes customer service, tee time operations, and event coordination.

With a 40-hour work week and weekend shifts, the successful candidate will lead golf shop staff, manage reservations, teach lessons, and coordinate tournaments while upholding high service standards and club operations.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred.
• PGA Associate Level 2 or higher, Class A preferred.
• Minimum 2 years as PGA Associate.
• Operation of Golf Genius, GHIN handicap system.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily golf shop tee time reservation system and staff scheduling.
• Manage golf shop assistants, outside service staff and volunteers.
• Open, close, and secure golf shop and storage facilities.
• Assist with display, stocking, and inventory control of golf shop merchandise.
• Promote and book Corporate Tournaments/Outings and coordinate events.
• Coordinate Ladies Golf Association Events and Junior Camps/Leagues.
• Provide individual and group lessons; oversee cart fleet maintenance.
• Monitor rounds and help set golf rates; maintain GHIN handicap records.
