Job summary

Jupiter Island Club in Hobe Sound, FL seeks an Assistant Golf Professional to support the Head Golf Professional and enhance member experiences in the Pro Shop.

You will execute daily shop operations, coach private lessons and clinics, and help run major golf events while maintaining inventory and logistics with the accounting team.

The role requires strong customer service, familiarity with tournament operations, and the ability to recruit and onboard staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university preferred.
• Member of the PGA of America.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome all Members and guests professionally.
• Provide private lessons and assist with junior and ladies' clinics.
• Promote and execute tournament operations.
• Maintain knowledge of golf events, formats, dates and times.
• Reconcile and post invoices; assist with golf events.
• Assist Head Golf Professional with all golf events.
• Coordinate with Accounting for inventory and daily tasks.
• Take monthly pro shop inventory.
• Know opening and closing procedures for Pro Shop, bag room, range and cart barn.
• Assist Head Professional in recruiting of new staff.
• Oversee purchasing of goods and receiving merchandise for the Golf Shop.
• Run Major Tournaments for Golf Calendar.

The Assistant Golf Professional, under the direction of the Head Golf Professional, creates a relaxed, friendly, helpful environment focused on the member’s experience. Execute the day-to-day operations in the Golf Pro Shop.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide private lessons, assist with junior and ladies' clinics.

Promote and execute tournament operations.

Keep current on all golf events, # of participants, formats, dates and times.

Reconcile and post invoices.

Assist the Head Golf Professional with all golf events.

Work closely with the Accounting Department to complete inventory and daily work.

Take monthly pro shop inventory.

Know all opening and closing procedures in the Pro Shop, bag room, driving range and cart barn.

Assists Head Professional in recruiting of new staff.

Responsible for the purchasing of goods and receiving merchandise for the Golf Shop.

Run all Major Tournaments for Golf Calendar.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university preferred.

Member of the P.G.A. of America. Three years’ experience at high end private clubs. Northstar experience preferred
