Job summary

The Rawls Course at Texas Tech University is seeking a Player Assistant to support daily operations and deliver outstanding hospitality to Troon-managed clubs.

You will assist with starting players, maintaining pace of play, course upkeep, and communications with the Golf Shop. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months related experience; reliable attendance required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1–3 months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Starts players on the first tee and explains the rules for the day.
• Maintains an accurate starting sheet to track player whereabouts.
• Cues groups to the first tee and ensures no more than one group is on the tee at a time.
• Tours the course to assist players and maintain pace of play.
• Monitors restrooms and water stations; reports issues to staff.
• Repairs ball marks and replaces hazards or signage as needed.
• Communicates with Golf Shop and Starter regularly.
