Description

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintains the golf course grounds by performing a variety of jobs including:

-Walk mowing on triplex greens, tees, collars, approaches, fairways and roughs using proper mowing equipment and techniques.

-Assist in aerification of greens including verticutting, top dressing and cleanup of all assigned turn areas such as greens, tees,
fairways and rough.

• Operate a sod cutter, lay sod, remove old sod, install and level sod correctly.
• Hand rake or mechanically rake bunkers, seaside, waste areas as directed.
• Mow rough with rotary and reel-type mowers.
• Use rake, shovel, and various hand tools as directed.
• Operate all equipment following manufacturer’s recommendations; properly clean and park equipment at end of shift.
• Check oil and other equipment fluid levels daily.
• Report equipment problems and failures to equipment manager immediately.
• Operate edger and blowers on various surfaces correctly.
• Operate loader, hand-pick debris and other materials after weather events.
• Drive dump truck to haul materials and refuse to on-site or off-site facilities.
• Operate portable pump and assist in draining areas where water has accumulated.
• Change cups, pins, tee markers for daily course setup and to perform as directed by supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Machines/Equipment/Tools used:

• Uniform required (Club provided).
• Grass/lawn mowers of various types (rotary and reel).
• String trimmers and edger, blowers and sweepers.
• Sod and cup cutter.
• Chainsaw.
• Miscellaneous hand tools including loppers, hand clippers, plugger, rake and shovel.
• Utility vehicles, golf carts
• Tractor, front-end loader.
• Other tools as provided.

Requirements
