Job description

The Irrigation Division has an opening for a Golf Sales Manager for the Northeast territory. In this position, you will be responsible for sales, providing leadership to the territory and Distributor Partners, and creating demand for Toro's Golf Irrigation product lines.

Fully remote position - employee will live in Northeast territory. Travel up to 60%. #LI-Remote

What Will You Do?

To grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing assigned territory to meet fiscal year Sales Plan goals in revenue, profitability, and product category targets.
  • Driving business through personal efforts and coordination with Toro Distributor Partners, personnel, and supporting assets.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams within Toro, including Field Service, NSN, Commercial Equipment, Corporate Accounts, Toro Res/Com, and vendors.
  • Working with the National Sales Manager to influence regional golf specifiers, including Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents, to choose Toro products.
  • Supporting efforts to educate and build relationships with specifiers through training, events, literature, and reference materials.
  • Identifying and coordinating efforts on Top 10 Projects for the region, developing account plans, and executing strategies to secure business.
  • Traveling with and developing distributor sales personnel.
  • Serving as a key resource for distributor management and field sales, delivering presentations to secure project wins.
  • Collaborating with the Toro golf marketing team to promote our message and narrative.
  • Coordinating the distributor planning process to increase Toro's golf share in the region.
  • Assessing and reporting on market conditions, segments, competitors, and customer needs.
  • Managing the SalesForce database for strategic sales and marketing support, including forecasts.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

What Do You Need?

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Associate degree or Diploma in turf management, turf science, or related; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • At least 7 years of technical sales or experience in golf/turf industry.

Preferred qualifications include coursework in management, turf, agronomy, landscape, irrigation, or landscape design; strong public speaking and interpersonal skills; technical assistance capabilities; ability to interpret instructions; and skills in selling and maintaining customer relationships.

Competitive salary, benefits, and perks including casual dress, wellness resources, volunteer hours, and a total compensation range of $130,000 - $150,000. Incentive programs and early pay access may be available.
