Job description

Job Title: Golf Sales Manager - Northeast Territory

The Irrigation Division is seeking a Golf Sales Manager for the Northeast territory. This role involves leading sales efforts, providing guidance to the territory and Distributor Partners, and generating demand for Toro's Golf Irrigation products.

Position is fully remote; candidates must reside in the Northeast and be willing to travel up to 60%.

What Will You Do?

To grow your career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

  1. Managing your territory to meet sales goals related to revenue, profitability, and product targets.
  2. Driving business through personal efforts and collaboration with Toro Distributor Partners and internal teams.
  3. Working with cross-functional teams including Field Service, NSN, Commercial Equipment, and others.
  4. Coordinating with the National Sales Manager to influence regional golf specifiers and secure Toro's preferred status.
  5. Supporting product education and relationship-building with specifiers, including hosting targeted events and providing literature.
  6. Identifying and managing key projects, developing account plans, and executing strategic actions like site visits and demos.
  7. Developing and training distributor sales personnel.
  8. Delivering high-level presentations to various stakeholders to secure project wins.
  9. Collaborating with the golf marketing team to promote Toro's message to specifiers and superintendents.
  10. Planning with distributors to increase Toro's market share regionally.
  11. Assessing market conditions and reporting on trends, customer requirements, and competitive strategies.
  12. Managing the Salesforce database to guide sales and marketing strategies and forecast sales.
  13. Performing other duties as assigned.
What Do You Need?

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Associate degree or diploma in turf management, turf science, or related field; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • At least 7 years of technical sales or industry experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Courses in management, turf, agronomy, landscape, or irrigation.
  • Strong public speaking and interpersonal skills, with mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and interpret instructions.
  • Proven ability to develop customer relationships and participate in industry activities.
