Job summary

PUMA North America, Inc. in Carlsbad, CA is seeking an engineer to contribute to innovative golf club concepts, apply computational design methods, and translate engineering ideas into 3D parametric CAD models (NX).

You will perform analyses related to performance, durability, acoustics, and cost; support prototype development with suppliers and internal teams; and develop design automation tools, scripts, and digital workflows using Python and CAD automation.

Qualifications

2-4 years of engineering, product development, or innovation experience; golf industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the creation and development of innovative golf club concepts, constructions, and features.
Apply computational design methodologies to evaluate and refine engineering solutions.
Assist with topology optimization, lattice design, and lightweighting studies including nTop workflows.
Translate engineering concepts into 3D parametric CAD models.
Perform engineering analyses related to performance, durability, acoustics, and cost.
Support prototype development with suppliers and internal teams.
Develop and maintain design automation tools, scripts, and digital workflows.
Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Operations, Manufacturing, and suppliers to develop and validate prototypes.
Participate in product testing, validation activities, and intellectual property documentation.
Research emerging materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes relevant to golf products.
Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and ideation of new technologies across critical product platforms.
