The Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection on Alabama’s Gulf Coast is seeking a Golf Greenskeeper to maintain the premier courses Dogwood and Azalea, ensuring pristine playing conditions for guests.

As part of the grounds team, you will operate tractors and mowers, apply fertilizers and pest controls, manage irrigation, and perform landscaping tasks to keep the turf and landscapes at their best.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining golf course turf.
• Knowledge of fertilization and pest control basics.
• Ability to operate groundskeeping equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractors and power mowers to till, cultivate, grade, and mow turf areas.
• Apply lime, fertilizer, insecticide, and fungicide as prescribed.
• Set up hoses and sprinkler systems to maintain irrigation.
• Plant, trim, and spray trees and shrubs for course aesthetics.
• Engage in course prep, including digging, raking, and grading.
• Use weed eaters, edgers, and blowers for maintenance.
• Follow safety regulations to ensure a secure working environment.

As a Golf Greenskeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the impeccable quality of these stunning courses, ensuring pristine playing conditions for our guests. This role involves using a variety of tools and equipment to cultivate and care for the grounds, enhancing the beauty and functionality of the golf courses.

Key Responsibilities

• Turf Maintenance: Operate tractors and power mowers to till, cultivate, grade, and mow the rough, fairway, green, and tee areas to ensure perfect playing conditions.
• Fertilization and Pest Control: Apply prescribed amounts of lime, fertilizer, insecticide, and fungicide to ensure the health and vibrancy of the turf.
• Irrigation Management: Set up hoses and sprinkler systems at designated points across the course to maintain adequate irrigation.
• Landscaping: Plant, trim, and spray trees and shrubs to maintain the overall aesthetics of the course.
• Course Prep: Engage in tasks such as digging, raking, and grading to prepare new greens and maintain traps and roadbeds.
• Groundskeeping Equipment: Use hand equipment such as weed eaters, edgers, and blowers to maintain a clean and well-manicured course.
• Safety Adherence: Follow safety regulations and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others.
