Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection in Fairhope, Alabama, is seeking a Senior Greenkeeper to maintain turf and grounds across our championship courses and resort landscape.

You will manage mowing, irrigation, fertilization, and equipment operation to uphold the high standards of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail property and deliver an exceptional guest experience.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and a commitment to sustainable grounds care on a luxury resort campus.

Qualifications

• Senior Greenkeeper responsible for turf management and landscape upkeep across golf courses and resort grounds.
• Experience operating irrigation systems and maintaining course presentation.
• Safety-conscious with ability to follow best practices for turf health and equipment use.

Responsibilities

• Maintain golf course turf and surrounding grounds through mowing and edging.
• Plant, prune, and care for grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs.
• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides safely.
• Assist with irrigation system setup, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Keep resort grounds clean and guest-ready.
• Safely operate landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers).
• Perform minor maintenance to fences, gates, walkways and course features.
• Support daily course preparation and uphold RTJ Golf Trail standards.

Senior Greenkeeper

As a Senior Greenkeeper, you will play a key role in maintaining the pristine condition of our golf courses and resort grounds. This hands-on position focuses on turf management, landscape maintenance, irrigation systems, and equipment operation to ensure the highest standards of course presentation and playability. Your work helps preserve the natural beauty and championship quality of the Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa.

• Maintain golf course turf and surrounding grounds through mowing, trimming, and edging to ensure a clean, professional appearance
• Plant, prune, and care for grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs to promote healthy growth and enhance landscape aesthetics
• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides in accordance with safety standards and best practices for turf health
• Assist with irrigation system setup, monitoring, and maintenance to ensure proper watering of greens, fairways, and landscaped areas
• Maintain cleanliness of resort grounds, including removing debris, raking leaves, and keeping outdoor spaces guest-ready
• Safely operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, and blowers
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs to grounds features such as fences, gates, walkways, and course structures
• Support daily course preparation and assist with maintaining the high standards expected of a Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail property
