Qualified candidates hold an Associate's Degree in Agronomy or related field, with six months to two years in golf course maintenance; supervisory experience is preferred.
The Springfield-Greene County Park Board is seeking a Golf Course Working Leader for Rivercut Golf Course. This position will serve as the lead worker by directing employees and participating in the work necessary for maintenance, upkeep, and operation of the course. This position will report to the Golf Course Supervisor, but serves as lead on projects, trouble shooting, irrigation, chemical application at times, and more.
Rivercut was named Golf Digest's #1 Municipal Golf Course in Missouri in 2009. This 18-hole championship course, at 7,066 yards and a par of 72, is exceptionally designed. Fairways border the scenic James River, providing one of the most beautiful courses in the Midwest. Rivercut boasts a driving range, practice greens, and a fully stocked Pro Shop.
