Job summary

Westfield Insurance in Ohio is seeking a Turfgrass Management Intern to support Hospitality operations at our golf and club grounds. Under direct supervision, you will assist with course setup, agronomic program execution, and daily maintenance tasks to help condition our golf courses while developing turfgrass management skills.

This development role emphasizes learning operational elements, safety compliance, and teamwork.

Qualifications

0–2 years of experience in Hospitality Operations or related field.
High School Diploma or GED and/or commensurate experience.
Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting company standards.
Availability to work a variable schedule including weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

Assist in day-to-day operations of hospitality departments.
Support Club grounds maintenance and learn daily priorities with management.
Perform golf course or ground maintenance using equipment such as mowers and utility vehicles.
Learn fertilization, aeration, topdressing, and pesticide application per regulations.
Assist in planning events, logistics, and on-site support under supervision.
Assist in training others on procedures, equipment use, and safety.
Contribute to quality, production, collaboration and service standards.
Support hospitality tasks, project work, and day-to-day operations.
Operate service vehicle as needed for essential functions.
