Job summary

Coral Hospitality seeks a Golf Course Superintendent to lead the maintenance at Wallace Adams Golf Course (McRae-Helena, GA) and Georgia Veterans Memorial Golf Course (Cordele, GA). The role oversees tees, greens, fairways, cart paths, and budgeted expenses while directing pesticide, irrigation, and drainage programs to ensure top playing conditions.

You will manage and train Assistant Superintendents and Greenskeepers, ensuring compliance with OSHA and state/federal safety rules.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or similar role.
• Knowledge of golf course maintenance and turf management.
• Understanding of irrigation systems and pest control.
• Ability to manage and train staff.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Working towards professional certification from GCSAA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and participate in the maintenance of the golf course tees, greens, fairways, and cart paths.
• Supervise and control all maintenance expenses associated with Golf Course operations.
• Design, oversee and implement fertilization, pest and weed management programs.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, OSHA rules and regulations regarding shop safety and pesticide usage.
• Monitor the course daily to determine proper playing conditions.
• Provide technical, operational and safety training for employees to ensure that staff is working within OSHA, club safety, state and federal guidelines for safe working conditions.
• Develop and maintain drainage, irrigation, pumping and water reservoir systems.
• Communicate with golfers and club management about course conditions and playability.
• Hire, supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Foreman, Greenskeepers, and other staff.
• Order parts, supplies and equipment as needed.
