Job summary

Sandia Golf Club in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Full-Time Golf Course Superintendent to lead maintenance operations and budgeting for the course. The role requires oversight of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers, with emphasis on safety, training, and adherence to regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with 2–5 years of related experience.
• Degree preference in agronomy, horticulture, or plant/soil science.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Pesticide license preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains the annual golf course maintenance budget and capital plans.
• Plans, organizes, and directs maintenance and construction of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
• Supervises planting and cultural practices for turf grasses, trees, and ornamentals.
• Ensures maintenance equipment is properly maintained.
• Procures supplies within budgetary limitations.

Education

AA or equivalent from a two-year college/technical school; 2–5 years related experience

Degree preference in agronomy, horticulture, or plant/soil science
