Hillcrest Country Club in Indianapolis seeks a Golf Course Superintendent with a proven record of superior conditioning and leadership. The role focuses on daily maintenance and operations of the course, including agronomy, budgeting, staff management, and irrigation.

The candidate will work with the General Manager and Green Committee to prepare the course for tournaments and events, while managing equipment and regulatory compliance to uphold the club’s high standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in golf course maintenance, agronomy, budgeting, and staff leadership.
• Ability to develop annual Operations Budget and Capital Expenditures Budget.
• Ability to oversee purchase, lease, installation, and upkeep of maintenance equipment.

Responsabilités

• Reports to the General Manager/COO.

• Maintain the grounds of the Club to the highest standard.
• Work with Green and Golf Committee to prepare the course for tournaments, outings, and events.
• Control and direct the maintenance, care, and improvement of the golf course and club grounds.
• Ensure proper mixing, calibration, and application of all chemical/fertilizers used on the golf course.
• Develop annual Operations Budget and Capital Expenditures Budget with the GM and Green Committee Chair.
• Foster relationships with local and state authorities to promote goodwill and compliance.
• Ensure associates obtain training and licenses needed to perform tasks safely.

Golf Course Superintendent Hillcrest Country Club

Hillcrest Country Club is in search of a Golf Course Superintendent with a history of providing exceptional golf course conditioning. This position will focus on the daily maintenance and operation of the golf course at the highest possible level, including, but not limited to: agronomy, budgeting, staff management, leadership, and irrigation.

Job Description

• Reports to the General Manager/COO
• Implement policies established by the Club through the Board of Directors
• Maintain the grounds of the Club to highest standard possible
• Work with Green and Golf Committee to prepare the course and grounds for the full range of tournaments, outings, and events offered by the Club
• Control and direct the maintenance, care, and improvement of the golf course, golf facilities, and club grounds
• Ensure proper mixing, calibration, and application of all chemical/fertilizers used on the golf course
• Develop annual Operations Budget and Capital Expenditures Budget in collaboration with General Manager and Green Committee Chair
• Manage the purchase, lease, installation, and upkeep of golf course maintenance equipment
• Foster and develop relationships with the local and state authorities, in an effort to promote goodwill, while ensuring that the Club operates within the parameters set forth by said authorities
• Ensures all associates obtain proper training and/or licenses needed to perform job tasks safely and within city, state, and federal regulations
• Provides leadership and a positive working environment that fosters teamwork, communication, and ethical behavior
• Develop a working relationship with the General Manager, Club Manager, Head Golf Professional, and all other staff to integrate the various departments and facilities club-wide
• Commitment to continuing education and interaction with USGA’s Green Section

Hillcrest Country Club, founded in 1927, is a premier private club set on roughly 120 acres and home to a classic 18-hole Bill Diddel–designed golf course. Golf Operations: Practice facility including both a full driving range and teaching tee. Two bay indoor teaching facility featuring both Trackman and league play in the winter months. Full bag storage, golf car fleet storage (64 golf cars, 2 Carryalls, 6 Passenger Cart).

Clubhouse: Main dining area, “Diddel’s” pub featuring full bar top, restaurant seating, and Members Grille. Full banquet facility (capacity of 200), Men’s & Ladies’ locker rooms, Swimming pool.
