Job summary

Highfield Club is seeking an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent in managing our 9-hole facility. The role blends hands-on operations, irrigation management, equipment repairs, and turf treatments while leading a small grounds crew.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of golf course maintenance experience, knows the game of golf, and may hold a Turf Certificate or degree.

Qualifications

• Must know the game of golf.
• At least 2 years experience in golf course maintenance/landscaping.
• Turf Certificate or Degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Golf Course Superintendent in daily operations, agronomic programs and facility maintenance.
• Hands‑on leadership for opening/closing tasks, equipment operation and crew supervision.
• Maintain irrigation, fix equipment, and apply turf treatments as needed.
• Lead a small grounds crew to uphold playing conditions and safety standards across the property.

The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent works directly with the Golf Course Superintendent to manage the daily operations, agronomic programs, and maintenance of our 9-hole golf facility.

Due to the streamlined nature of a 9-hole property, this role requires a hands‑on leader who is equally comfortable operating equipment, managing irrigation, fixing equipment, and applying turf treatments as they are leading a small grounds crew. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, detailed‑oriented, and dedicated to maintaining exceptional playing conditions and safety standards across the property.

• 9 Hole Golf Course

Employment Type

Full-time

• $23-25/HR depending on experience at start.
