Job summary

Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, MO, seeks an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to support the Golf Superintendent in maintaining high-quality playing conditions and managing daily operations. You will supervise grounds staff, oversee mowing, irrigation, fertilization, and pest control while ensuring regulatory compliance and safety.

Responsibilities include staff training, equipment maintenance, record-keeping for applications, course setup for events, and turf health across greens, fairways,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of golf course operations and maintenance, with some supervisory experience.
• Missouri pesticide applicator license within 90 days of hire.
• GCSAA membership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support golf course maintenance to ensure high-quality playing conditions.
• Assist with scheduling, training, and supervising grounds staff.
• Manage irrigation scheduling and trouble-shoot irregularities.
• Maintain inventory of chemicals and fertilizers and ensure safety compliance.
• Coordinate course setup for events and communicate with pro shop staff.
