Job summary

Troon’s New Berlin Hills Golf Club in New Berlin, Wisconsin is seeking a part-time Mechanic for a seasonal 6-month engagement. You will perform preventive maintenance, repair golf course equipment and carts, and keep maintenance records. Strong small-engine skills and a self-motivated attitude are required.

Experience with mowing equipment and a valid driver's license are preferred. The role offers $25.00/hour and benefits eligibility according to company policy.

Qualifications

• Prior mechanical experience with small engines and mowers.
• Motivated, goal-driven self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Conducts a preventive maintenance program with operators to reduce mechanical failures on golf course equipment.
• Repairs equipment and golf carts.
• Keeps repair and maintenance records on all equipment.
• Inspects and diagnoses mechanical problems for maintenance gear.
• Sets heights and sharpens blades on cutting units.
• Welds and brazes as needed for repairs.
• Compares prices for parts before ordering.
• Maintains a clean, organized shop area.
• Monitors fuel levels in storage tanks and ensures safe disposal of hazardous materials.
