Job Description

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Golf Course Mechanic for the beautiful new Barton Creek Country Club!

Ranked among the best resorts in Texas: Top 5 Resorts in the Southwest Conde Nast Traveler and Top 5 Resorts in Texas Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards 2024.

The Golf Course Mechanic will ensure the proper maintenance and repair of golf and grounds maintenance equipment.

Barton Creek Lakeside (1800 Clubhouse Hill Dr, Spicewood, TX, 78669)

Responsibilities

1. Assists with the maintenance and repair of various gasoline and diesel powered golf equipment.
2. Contributes to the implementation of a preventative maintenance program.
3. Inspects, diagnoses, adjusts and repairs mechanical defects and or failures in various pieces of golf and grounds maintenance equipment.
4. Assists with maintaining accurate and detailed service and repair records for each individual piece of machinery.
5. Keeps maintenance equipment fueled, oiled, and inspected to ensure use at any time.
6. Sets up and modifies new equipment as needed.

Qualifications

1. Ideal candidate will have a degree or certificate from either a college or vocational school in mechanical field of study.
2. Must have the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions while repairing equipment.
3. Must be familiar with and adhere to the proper recycling and disposal of various shop fluids and compounds that may be considered hazardous.
4. Must be proficient with welding and fabrication equipment.
5. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
6. Prefer a minimum of 2 years mechanic experience on small engine repairs.
