Job summary

Pine Needles Mid Pines Southern Pines is seeking a Golf Course Maintenance Technician to handle day-to-day operations across Pine Needles, Mid Pines or Southern Pines Golf Club.

The role supports course setup, mowing, turf care, and general upkeep, with work hours varying and opportunities for full-time or part-time positions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one month’s related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Display friendliness and helpfulness at all times to Members, Guests, Visitors and associates.
• Adhere to all Property and Department policies and procedures.
• Observe safety and security procedures; use equipment properly and report unsafe conditions.
• Course setup duties to present proper tee marker positions and hole locations; litter and waste removal; ball washer maintenance; upkeeping of course amenities.
• Mowing and grooming to maintain playability and appearance; walking and riding equipment.
• Hand watering; moving hoses manually and recognizing wilt conditions.
• Hand labor such as raking, shoveling, pushing and divot repair to groom the course.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of this position is day-to-day operations to maintain golf courses.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and a minimum of one month’s related experience;or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Display friendliness and helpfulness at all times, to Members, Guests, Visitors, Business Partners, and fellow Associates.
• Adhere to all Property and Department policies and procedures.
• Observe all safety and security procedures. Use equipment and material properly. Report potentially unsafe conditions.
• Course set up duties to present proper tee marker positions andholelocations. Set up duties also involve litter and waste removal, ball washer maintenance and general care and upkeep of course amenities.
• Mowing and grooming; keep up playability andhigh qualityappearance. Walking and riding equipment.
• Hand waterturf;requires moving hoses manually and recognizing wilt conditions. This task is essential to keeping healthyturf.
• Hand labor; including raking, shoveling, pushing and divot repair to groom the course.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
