Job summary

Pinehurst, LLC is seeking a entry-level golf course maintenance worker to support daily operations and upkeep of the course. The role involves basic setup for tees and hole locations, mowing and grooming, hand-watering turf, and general course care to ensure pristine playing conditions.

No prior experience is required for candidates aged 16 and older who are eager to learn about golf course maintenance in a historic resort setting.

• Perform basic course setup to position tees and hole locations.
• Mow and groom to maintain playability and high-quality appearance.
• Hand water turf and move hoses as needed to keep turf healthy.
• Assist with raking, shoveling, pushing and divot repair to maintain the course.

Summary

The primary purpose of this position is basic day-to-day operations to maintain golf courses.

Education And/or Experience

No experience required. High School students that are at least 16 years old and have a desire to learn about Golf Course Maintenance.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Basic course set up duties to present proper tee marker positions and hole locations. Set up duties also involve litter and waste removal, ball washer maintenance and general care and upkeep of course amenities.
• Mowing and grooming; keep up playability and high quality appearance. Walking and riding select equipment.
• Hand water turf; requires moving hoses manually and recognizing wilt conditions. This task is essential to keeping healthy turf.
• Hand labor; including raking, shoveling, pushing and divot repair to groom the course.
