Calvert County Government’s Department of Parks and Recreation seeks a skilled maintenance technician to repair and upkeep golf course equipment and licensed vehicles. The role requires coordinating regular maintenance, managing inventory, and keeping a clean shop environment.
Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED with mechanical maintenance courses and at least six months of related experience. A valid driver’s license and a Medical Examiner’s Certificate are required.
Repairs and maintains all equipment related to the maintenance and conditioning of the golf course while working closely with the golf course Superintendent in a positive team environment.
Performs preventive maintenance, repairs and sets up all equipment and licensed vehicles used by the golf course maintenance crew.
Maintains an adequate inventory of parts and supplies.
Keeps the golf course maintenance shop in clean and orderly condition.
Coordinates and schedules all daily/weekly/monthly/annual maintenance of golf course equipment.
Performs related work as required.

High School diploma or GED equivalent, supplemented with courses specific to mechanical maintenance.
Six months of mechanical maintenance experience.
Valid driver’s license and a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate in accordance with Federal Regulations.
Subject to background investigation.
Work requires long periods of standing, frequent walking, repeated bending, crouching, stooping, stretching or reaching; recurring lifting of objects up to 49 pounds.
