Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a Golf Maintenance Intern at Ridgedale, MO for the summer. You will assist with chemical applications, irrigation troubleshooting, greens maintenance, and assist in projects under supervision.

Qualified candidates are currently enrolled in a Turfgrass Management/Landscaping degree program and possess strong communication, teamwork, and basic computer skills. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled and working towards a Turfgrass Management/Landscaping Degree.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Strong communication, organizational, and team collaboration skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
Willingness to learn and assist with on-course projects.

Responsibilities

Performs chemical applications - boom spraying greens, tees, and fairways.
Maintains Rainbird/Toro sprinkler heads and troubleshoots as needed.
Sands topdressing of greens.
Hand waters bent grass greens in the transition zone using a pogo sensor.
Leads small project crew when opportunities arise.
Networks with on-course assistants, course superintendents, and the Director of Agronomy.
All other duties as assigned.
