Responsibilities

• Maintain golf course grounds with various mowers and tools to meet quality standards.
• Clean and maintain equipment per safety standards.
• Mow greens, tees, fairways and rough; rake bunkers.
• Assist with irrigation repairs and light custodial duties.
• Report issues to supervisor and participate in departmental meetings.
• Assist other departments as needed.

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Golf Course Maintenance Groundskeeper 2 to support the Barton Creek Country Club. This role focuses on maintaining the quality and safety of the golf course, meeting guest and member expectations, and performing custodial and light carpentry duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Use walking and riding greens mowers, tee mowers, fairway mowers, rough mowers, rollers, bunker rakes, carts, push mowers, and a variety of powered and non‑powered hand tools to maintain golf course grounds and landscaping.
• Clean and maintain all equipment, treating it with care and following safety and efficiency standards.
• Mow greens, tees, fairways and rough; rake bunkers; weed‑eat and push‑mow bunker faces.
• Set cups and move tee markers.
• Hand‑water greens and tees; assist with irrigation repairs.
• Perform light custodial operations on golf course grounds and buildings, such as cleaning and stocking rest rooms, sweeping stones from paths, trash collection, and mopping floors.
• Report problems encountered on site to the supervisor immediately and take appropriate steps to address emergency situations.
• Paint and maintain buildings; perform light carpentry work as needed.
• Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, landscaping, and sod; mulch and edge beds; prepare beds for planting of materials; pull weeds; use hoses to water plantings.
• Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
• Assist in other departments as needed.
• Attend monthly departmental meetings.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
• Valid driver’s license and compliance with company MVR requirements.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend/stoop, and move arms and hands up to 30 minutes per hour worked.
• Proficiency in turf/plant fertilization, chainsaw use, woody plant installation, construction, hard‑scapes, and skid‑steer use.
