Job summary

Jekyll Island Authority is hiring a Golf Course Groundskeeper I, II, or III to maintain the driving range and clubhouse grounds for guest and member play on a daily basis. Under general supervision, you will mow greens, tees, fairways, collars, roughs, borders, and bunkers, and perform trimming, edging, and debris removal to keep the course in top condition.

Responsibilities include moving tee markers, placing cups and pins, operating light machinery and mowers, and assisting with routine

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: Groundskeeper III requires 3–5 years of relevant golf course/landscape experience; Groundskeeper II requires 2 years; Groundskeeper I requires 1 year. Must be at least 18 years old; valid driver's license; reliable; available on rotating weekends and holidays; able to learn unfamiliar tasks; team-oriented; punctual; pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Mow greens, tees, fairways, collars, roughs, edging, raking, smoothing bunkers.
• Trim grass around trees, cart paths, hazards, and other objects; rotate tee markers; change cups; maintain ball washers.
• Perform bunker maintenance: debris removal, raking, edging.
• Move tee markers for daily play; operate light handheld machinery (weed eaters, backpack blowers, cart path edgers) to maintain paths and banks.
• Operate mowers for rough and fairways; greens mower for greens; operate tractors and implements; blower, bush hog.
