Job summary

NC State University is seeking a Grounds Technician for Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, NC. The role involves contributing to daily golf course maintenance, groundskeeping, and ensuring prime playing conditions in an outdoor setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with possible licensing (pesticide, CDL) depending on qualifications. Work schedule is Monday–Friday with occasional weekend events; pay range is $33,540–$58,335 per year.

Qualifications

• High school or GED diploma or equivalent is required.
• North Carolina Pesticide License may be required and can be obtained within six months of employment.
• North Carolina Commercial Driver's License may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all areas of golf course groundskeeping.
• Perform landscaping, sodding, and general course upkeep.
• Apply fertilizers and pesticides on and around the course.
• Mow and maintain fairways, roughs, fringes, and greens.
• Operate and maintain golf course maintenance equipment.
• Complete daily assignments independently and according to work schedules.
