Job summary

The City of High Point is seeking a Park Attendant – Operations for our municipal golf courses. You will participate in daily maintenance, equipment operation, and guest services, including setup, turf care and light janitorial tasks.

The role requires outdoor work, basic arithmetic, and a valid North Carolina driver’s license. Training is provided; shifts may include nights, weekends and holidays; discounted golf at city courses is available.

Qualifications

Must be comfortable in a customer service role and working in an outdoor setting.

Responsibilities

Performs basic golf course maintenance and repair work on grounds, facilities, and equipment including litter pick-up.
Performs regular maintenance of grounds, including mowing, raking, weed eating, trimming, digging, planting trees and shrubs.
Performs regular janitorial/custodial tasks at golf course facilities, including cleaning bathrooms and common areas.
Uses chemicals under direction of supervisor.
Prunes and mulches trees and shrubs; handles basic landscape tasks and turf care.
Washes and cleans vehicles used to transport employees and equipment.
Assists with driving range operations, as needed.
Ensures all work complies with OSHA and City safety standards and policies.
