Job summary

The Governors Club in Brentwood, TN is seeking a dependable equipment technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair golf course maintenance machinery. Prior golf course experience is preferred but not required; strong engine knowledge is essential.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance scheduling, repairs, shop upkeep, and collaboration with resort staff. The role requires adaptability to weather, shifts, and providing excellent service to guests and team members.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in a similar position
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Strong technical gasoline and diesel engine background
• Excellent equipment operation skills
• Excellent mechanical understanding
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Assist with the appropriate scheduling of preventative maintenance and prioritized repairs
• Troubleshoot all equipment
• Maintain a clean, well-organized shop with safety as the highest priority
• Assist with golf course special projects
• Maintain a strong knowledge of emergency procedures
• Learn to operate all pieces of equipment
• Interact with resort staff in a professional manner
• Communicate all pertinent information to the golf maintenance team
• Maintain a professional appearance
• Remain alert, courteous and helpful to guests and colleagues
