Job summary

The Ranch at Laguna Beach is seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our Golf Course Maintenance team in Laguna Beach, CA. You will support the superintendent with maintenance of golf carts, vehicles and mechanical equipment on the course.

Qualified candidates have at least two years of general mechanic experience, a valid California driver’s license, and are 21+ with reliable transportation. The role is on-site and offers hourly compensation in the $25–$30 range, plus standard hospitality

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent education required.
• Valid California driver’s license required.
• Minimum two years general mechanic experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical defects of maintenance equipment.
• Perform general overhaul of motors.
• Repair transmission, differentials, carburetors, distributors, fuel pumps, steering systems, starters, generators, and hydraulics.
• Install and adjust brakes; install batteries, tires, wiring.
• Diagnose mechanical trouble and schedule preventive maintenance.
• Perform preventive maintenance including oils and filters replacement and greasing.
• Machine and weld equipment.
• Grind and sharpen mower blades, reels and bed knives.
• Instruct equipment operators in safe operation.
• Care of mowing and other equipment.
• Repair other departmental buildings and equipment as needed.
• Perform Golf Course maintenance tasks as necessary.
