Job summary

Reynolds Lake Oconee seeks a diligent Golf Course Maintenance worker to support daily groundskeeping and equipment operation across the course and maintenance facility.

You will perform tasks including mowing greens, fairways, bunkers, and paths; operate hand-held and motorized equipment; assist with mulch and general site upkeep. Candidates should be able to work weekends and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Prefer previous experience on golf course or construction site (including use of Heavy Equipment).
• Operate equipment with precision and care.
• Must be able to bend, stretch and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all golf course areas and maintenance facility. Operates hand-held equipment including weed eater, edger, rake, and manual tools.
• Walks greens and tees; mows; blow and edge cart paths, fairways, and rough.
• Conducts daily cleanup of equipment and facility; reports issues to Equipment Manager.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• - Maintains all golf course areas and maintenance facility. Involves use of hand-held type equipment such as:
• Weed eater Self-propelled walking mower
• Backpack and push blowers Fly-mower
• Edger Rake and shovel
• Dew whips Core pusher
• Picks and pitchforks Level lawn
• - Operate utility cart in a safe manner always keeping feet inside the cart
• - Maintains sprinkler heads and valve boxes
• - Maintains bunkers
• - Maintains cart paths (edge and blow)
• - Walk Mow Greens and Tees
• - Daily cleanup of equipment and facility
• - Blow Fairways and Rough
• - Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any issues or repairs needed to the Equipment Manager.
• - Spread pine and hardwood mulch 3 times per week. Involves standing, load/unload mulch and hand spreading.
• - All other duties as required by the supervision.

Safety Responsibilities and Requirements:

• - Performs job responsibilities and operates equipment according to the company safety and training programs.
• - Use personal protective equipment as trained and required. Wear safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toe boots when required, sunscreen, gloves, and seatbelts when required.
• - Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• - Report safety or hazard concerns to management.
• - Reports any on the job injury to management immediately.
• - Take personal responsibility for safety every day.
• - Report equipment issues to Equipment Manager immediately.

Schedule:

• - Golf Course Maintenance operates 7 days per week. Employees must be available to work weekends and overtime hours as required.
