Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf seeks an Assistant Mechanic to join the Golf Course Maintenance Team in Chandler/Sun Lakes, AZ. You will help maintain equipment, coach operators, and ensure safety and high-quality standards on a busy golf course.

The role requires a High School diploma, at least one year of mechanic experience, and strong communication skills. Eligible full-time benefits include medical, PTO, holidays, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year experience as a mechanic, or related experience preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
• Computer literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret schematics, reports, plans, labels, SDS, technical manuals, and regulatory documents.

Responsibilities

• Understand the game of golf and the role of equipment maintenance in safety, quality, and aesthetics.
• Communicate with the Lead Mechanic, Equipment Manager, or the Assistant Superintendent on daily/weekly work assignments to ensure all needed equipment is available when needed.
• Collaborate with the Equipment Manager and Lead Mechanic to create capital equipment budgets and execute budgets.
• Assist Lead Mechanic or Equipment Manager to ensure OSHA compliance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment and ensure proper cleaning of equipment.
