Job summary

Augusta National Golf Club is seeking an Agronomy Intern for the Augusta National Internship Program, a 12-month, on-site paid internship in Augusta, GA. Housing assistance is available.

The Agronomy Intern will support Agronomy Operations, learning turf maintenance, equipment operation, irrigation, disease and pest identification, and safety. Normal schedule is 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday; overtime may be required; candidates enrolled in turfgrass programs or recent grads

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of turf equipment operation.
• Basic understanding of golf course etiquette in a private atmosphere.
• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of an accredited Turfgrass Management program or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assists in pesticide and fertilizer applications.
• Performs calibrations of spreader and sprayer units.
• Operates, inspects, and cleans equipment following safety guidelines.
