Job summary

The Lodge at Ventana Canyon in Tucson is seeking a Golf Attendant to deliver first‑class service to members and guests. You will assist with cart upkeep, cleaning, and setup for tournaments, while ensuring policies are communicated and pace of play is maintained.

Responsibilities include helping with bag handling, cart storage, and occasional food and beverage duties, with a requirement to stay flexible for holidays and weekends and to work as part of a friendly outside services team.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent education required.
• One-month related experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Flexibility to work holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with upkeep of cart staging and cart storage areas.
• Assist in setup and execution of golf tournaments and outings.
• Provide courteous service, bag handling and club cleaning for guests and members.
• Maintain cart staging and storage areas in a neat, orderly condition.
• Assist with cart wash down and preparation for play following company standards.
• Educate players on course and cart policies and pace of play.
• Keep records of golfers renting clubs and clean returned clubs.
• Assist with food and beverage activities as needed.

Outside Service Team Members must give a positive first impression of the golf course as well as contribute to maintaining a functional course through guest assistance, cleaning of golf carts, and other appointed tasks.**Duties/Responsibilities:*** Assist with the overall upkeep of the cart staging and cart storage areas.* Assist in the setup and execution of golf tournaments and outings.* Provide sincere and courteous service, including bag handling and club cleaning for all guests and members.* Maintain the cart staging area in a neat and orderly fashion, including the podium and bag drop area.* Maintain the cart storage area and cart wash down area in a neat, clean, and orderly condition.* Prepares golf carts for play following the company standards.* Assists in educating players regarding course policy, current cart policy and speed of play.* Maintain accurate records of golfers who rent clubs and clean rental clubs upon return.* Assist with food and beverage activities.* Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.* Maintain flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the department manager.* May direct the start of play.* Attends staff meetings.## Qualifications**Skills/Abilities*** Ability to apply basic mathematical skills.* Must possess good verbal and written skills.**Education/Experience:*** High School or equivalent education required.* One-month related experience as an Outside Services Attendant or training preferred.* Valid driver’s license.* Must be 18 years of age.* Flexibility to work holidays weekends.**Physical Requirements:*** Must be able to physically reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.* Must be able to work under variable temperature conditions (extreme heat or cold, indoors/outdoors).* Ability to constant activity, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.* Ability to handle physical activity and stand for long periods.* Must be able to occasionally work in areas with moving mechanical parts; may come in contact with fumes or airborne particles.Ventana Canyon is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
