PDS Defense, Inc. in Goleta, CA is hiring a Manufacturing Technician 2 to support fabrication, assembly, calibration, and testing of parts and sub-assemblies. You will work with engineers, interpret engineering drawings, and help ensure quality and process control on the shop floor.

This role requires a US citizen with a high school diploma or GED and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, read instructions in English, and work flexible hours. Overtime and shift rotations may apply.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen.
• High school diploma or GED with 2 years of related education/experience.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions written in English.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and be on feet for extended periods.
• Flexibility for overtime and different shifts.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
• Familiarity with reading engineering drawings and schematics.

Responsabilités

• Fabricate or assemble mechanical components for larger assemblies.
• Set up and test prototype units and analyze data to modify components or test procedures.
• Assist mechanical engineers in development and testing of designs and fabrications.
• Perform manufacturing operations including setup, calibration, rework, and quality testing.
• Use data collection programs to adjust products, instruments, or equipment on-line.
• Read and interpret manufacturing/engineering drawings and shop planning.
• Maintain shop appearance and cleanliness.
