Syngenta Seeds is seeking a Golden Harvest Agronomist located in Minnesota to evaluate experimental trials, assist in production planning, and promote products through meetings, field days, and one-on-one interactions. The role requires a BS in Agronomy and 2+ years in agronomy, plus strong seed industry knowledge.

The successful candidate will analyze data for promotional use, coordinate plots in the assigned area, and contribute to sales enablement while supporting district campaigns.

Job Description

Duties:

• Evaluate experimental trials to aid in training the sales force on new product launches
• Provide input on production planning and portfolio
• Sharpen competitive intelligence on pricing and products
• Support product-based campaign development in the district
• Promote Syngenta products at meetings, field days, and one-on-ones
• Support and coordinate plot locations and entries in the assigned area
• Analyze and interpret data for promotional use and act as the pivot point for Syngenta's story amplification in local areas

Qualifications

• B.S. in Agronomy or related Agricultural field
• 2+ years of experience in Agronomy or Sales with a strong technical background or 2+ years of experience in a Research and Development role, with a strong understanding of Sales and Commercial aspects
• Deep knowledge of the seed industry
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Requirements

• Basic understanding of marketing principles and techniques
• Understanding of statistical principles and data analysis
• Significant technical knowledge of product portfolio, product pipeline and product value propositions.
• Agronomic theory – knowledge of farming best practices, seed technologies, crop protection
• Understanding of segmentation strategy and priorities
• Demonstrated experience in guidance and direct involvement in service call resolution
