Job summary

GO Tutor Corps Teacher Residency is a school-based teaching apprenticeship designed to support aspiring educators through a 1–2 year program. Residents gain immersive classroom experience under a Mentor Teacher while pursuing graduate coursework for MAT and certification.

After acceptance, Residents enroll in MAT with partner schools; tuition ranges from $11,000 to $25,000 per year. A $22,000 stipend is provided during the residency year, with a clear route into a full-time teaching role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or expected before program start.
• Minimum 2.5 GPA and commitment to equity.
• Interest in pursuing MAT or related certification.

Responsibilities

• Co-teach and support instruction in a partner classroom.
• Collaborate with Mentor Teacher and school staff.
• Plan and deliver lessons with gradual release.
• Participate in observations and feedback sessions.
• Support graduate coursework aligned with certification.
