Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Go-Kart & Attraction Technician to join our team. You will be expected to perform maintenance tasks independently, as well as collaborate with the team when needed. Evening and weekend availability is required to ensure the smooth operation of all attractions. You should be a dedicated, hard worker who can diagnose and resolve issues promptly to keep our attractions running at their best.

This position requires evening and weekend availability!

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform regular mechanical and electrical checks on Go-Karts to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with Go-Karts and track systems.
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks per manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Keep accurate logs of repairs and maintenance schedules.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations to minimize downtime.
Attraction Maintenance:
  • Maintain and repair all attractions, ensuring safety and operational efficiency.
  • Perform daily checks and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Complete preventative maintenance on all attractions, simulators, and related systems.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to diagnose issues.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools for repairs.
Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure all maintenance and repairs meet safety regulations and operational standards.
  • Conduct regular safety checks on all systems and attractions.
  • Report any safety concerns to management and take immediate action when necessary
  • Ensure proper use and storage of tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate team and Managers to ensure all systems are maintained according to schedule.
  • Communicate with corporate, management and staff about issues or delays.
  • Assist in training staff or technicians on troubleshooting and maintenance processes.
Emergency Response & Troubleshooting:
  • Be on-call for urgent issues to minimize downtime.
  • Quickly diagnose and resolve operational issues during peak hours to maintain guest experience.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Perform opening, running, and closing duties for the department to ensure operations are set up and ready.
  • Assist with inventory management to ensure parts and tools are available for repairs.
  • Support other departments with technical needs as required.
  • Strong teamwork ethic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to diagnose complex systems and implement effective solutions.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience).
  • Proven experience with mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Experience maintaining Go-Karts and/or attractions preferred.
  • Ability to work up to 40 hours per week, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs unaided.
